Sportbetting excitement should be in the air as the IndyCar title is up for grabs as the season comes to a close. Sports betting online has it being a three-way race in online sportsbook odds between Scott Dixon, Dario Franchitti and Ryan Briscoe. Sportbetting favors Dixon and Franchitti with Briscoe needing some help to win. Dixon was the sportbetting winner of the IndyCar title last season and has a chance to repeat if he can win at Homestead-Miami Speedway on October 10th. “It’s what we expect for IndyCar,” Dixon said, “It’s going to come down to the final lap, the final corner of Miami.” Sportbetting has Dixon leading the standings with 570 points followed by Franchitti, who has 565. If either of them wins at Miami in the sports betting online race, they will win the title. Briscoe has slipped to third in the sports betting online standings after a bad race in Japan.

He made a mistake and hit the wall and ended up finishing 18th as sportbetting results showed. “I’m going to put this behind me,” Briscoe said “The good thing is that it’s only eight points to Scott. I feel real good going into Homestead. We’ve been strong on all the (1.5-mile ovals) this year, but it’s going to be a tough one.” Briscoe is in third place as sportbetting numbers show. He can win the title by winning at Miami in the sportbetting race but also may need to get some bonus points in the race. For example, if Briscoe wins the sportbetting race, but doesn’t get any bonus points, Dixon can win as online sports betting has it by finishing second and leading the most laps. He also wins any tiebreaker with Briscoe as sportbetting indicates.

Sportbetting history shows that this is the closest margin ever in the IndyCar heading into the final race between first and third. It is the fourth-closest between first and second as sportbetting notes. “It’s a flip of a coin who is the favorite going there between myself, Scott or Dario,” said Briscoe. “I think all of us are fully capable of winning at that track. We’re just going to have to be on our game, make everything absolutely perfect, be strong.”

The driver to watch at Miami in sports book odds could be Franchitti who is coming off a second-place sportbetting finish at Motegi. “We knew what we had to do here and we did it,” Franchitti said. “We are both still in the fight and it’s going to be one hell of a show at Homestead.”
