Online Sports Betting – Hornets Chris Paul Out Indefinitely

Online sports betting will continued to be impacted by the injury to New Orleans superstar guard Chris Paul. The Hornets guard twisted his ankle in Friday’s sportsbetting loss to Portland and could be out for some time.

Online sportsbetting had seen the Hornets struggle this season. It was so bad that head coach Byron Scott lost his job and now with the injury to Paul it doesn’t figure to get any better in online sports betting. The team said that Paul’s injury is an ankle sprain and that he will be out indefinitely. In 10 games this sportsbetting season, Paul has averaged 23.8 points and 9.2 assists. New Orleans has looked lost without him and the future for the Hornets is not bright.

New Orleans started the online sportsbetting season at 3-8 and has lost five of their last six.  The coaching change has made no difference as it is obvious the problem was not Byron Scott. General manager Jeff Bower has taken over and the team has done nothing to indicate they are ready to turn things around in sportsbetting.

New Orleans could already be done for this online sports betting season. The Western Conference does not allow for much in the way of long losing streaks. The conference is loaded with talent and the Hornets may already be out of the race by the time Paul returns. The other issue for New Orleans in online sports betting will be when Paul does return. Ankle sprains are a huge problem for NBA players. Deron Williams had one last online sports betting season and struggled for a long time after returning.

New Orleans was an exciting team that had a bright future but now that Scott has been fired and Paul is injured, things don’t look very good for the Hornets in online sports betting.

Just to get an idea of how bad things are for the Hornets in online sports betting just take a glance at Tuesday’s line. The Hornets were just 2.5 point favorites against the lowly Los Angeles Clippers in online sports betting and that was in New Orleans. It doesn’t figure to get any better for the Hornets in online sports betting since they host the Phoenix Suns on Thursday and the Suns have the best record in the league. Sportsbetting games against Atlanta, Miami and Milwaukee don’t look easy either.
