When it comes to sports betting on activities that do not technically fit the definition of ‘sports,’ nothing comes close to NASCAR, where the humans take a backseat to the machines – not literally, though, because that’d be dangerous. There will be not one, not two, but three NASCAR races taking place this weekend; namely, the Monster Energy Cup Series Bojangles’ Southern 500, the Xfinity SeriesVFW Sport Clips Help a Hero 200, and the Camping World Truck Series Chevrolet Silverado 250.

2017 Bojangles’ Southern 500

  • Date: September 3, 2017
  • Location: Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina
  • Course: Permanent racing facility 1.366 mi (2.198 km)
  • Distance: 367 laps, 501.322 mi (806.666 km)

Martin Truex Jr (+400) is the favourite to become the first back-to-back winner since Greg Biffle in 2005-2006. Moreover, the current driver standings leader finished in 9th place in 2015.

Kyle Larson (+500) has three top 10 finishes in three starts in the Bojangles’ Southern 500 in Darlington. Additionally, he has two straight top 10s in the previous two races in the 2017 season.

Kyle Busch (+400) won the 2008 edition of the race and has a further six top 10 finishes at Darlington Raceway. Furthermore, he is coming off his second win in the last four races – which also have included two top 10s – at the 2017 Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race.

2017 VFW Sport Clips Help a Hero 200

  • Date: September 2, 2017
  • Venue: Darlington Raceway
  • Location: Darlington, South Carolina, United States
  • Corporate sponsor: Veterans of Foreign Wars and Sport Clips
  • Distance: 200.802 miles (323.159 km)
  • Laps: 147 (Stage 1: 45 Stage 2: 45 Stage 3: 57)

Denny Hamlin (+250) is the fave to win this year’s race and why wouldn’t he be? He’s only won it four other times before, including in 2015. In addition to winning this race more than any other driver, Hamlin has been the runner-up on three occasions (2011, 2012, and 2016). He’s only racing part time in the 2017 Xfinity Series but has already won a race; the Irish Hills 250. Denny is a sports betting man himself, judging from this:

Joey Logano (+350) won this race on his first try in 2012 and has never finished worse than 6th place on three subsequent attempts. Not unlike Hamlin, Logano has participated in only six Xfinity Series races this year, finishing inside the top 10 in all of them.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado 250

  • Date: September 3, 2017
  • Venue: Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
  • Location: Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada
  • Corporate sponsor: Chevrolet
  • Distance: 157.376 mi (253.272 km)
  • Laps: 64 (Stage 1: 20 Stage 2: 20 Stage 3: 24)

John Hunter Nemechek won the 2016 Silverado 250, came in 9th place the previous year, and is coming off three Top 5 finishes in the last four Truck Series races.

Christopher Bell currently leads the driver standings and has strung together eight straight Top 10 finishes since placing 25th at the Bar Harbor 200, including wins at the winstaronlinegaming.com 400, Buckle Up in Your Truck 225, and Overton’s 150. All things considered, he’s not just a sports betting favourite this Sunday, but overall to win his first Camping World Truck Series title.
