Sports betting odds list five teams with single-digit odds to win the World Cup. Spain and Brazil are almost co-favorites at 4-1 with three other teams also in the mix in sports betting online odds. Sports betting odds list Spain and Brazil at 4-1 followed by England at 5-1.  Argentina is 8-1 while Italy is just under 10-1.  Right behind those five is Germany at 10-1 and the Netherlands at 11-1.

Spain is a slight favorite in sports bettingSpain has a lot of talent including Cesc Fabregas, Fernando Torres and David Villa. They have a great midfield with Xavi and Andres Iniesta and they have one of the best goalkeepers in the world in Iker Casillas.  Torres may not play much in the group stage as he is recovering from an injury but Spain’s group is easy anyway so he won’t be needed.  Spain will get out of the first round but the round of 16 matchup might be difficult.

Brazil is pretty much a co-favorite in sports betting online odds with Spain.  The team has a lot of talent with Lucio, Kaka and Robinho. They might not even take Ronaldinho.  Julio Caesar is a solid goalkeeper and Brazil has the ability to win it all. Their group is a lot tougher than Spain’s but they should still make it through.

England is going to be popular again although it is unclear why. They always under perform on the big stage.  Perhaps this time they will get star players like Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard to play well.  England has not won a World Cup since 1966 and they are totally overvalued at odds of 5-1.  England is almost like the Yankees in baseball but at least with New York they do win the title.

Argentina should not be ignored in World Cup odds. They have the best player in the world in Lionel Messi and he is capable of carrying this team to the title. They also have Carlos Tevez who can provide scoring support.  Messi has simply been unstoppable this season for Barcelona and if he continues to play at a high level then Argentina can win the World Cup.

Not to be forgotten is defending champion Italy. They have a good coach in Marcello Lippi and a lot of experience.  They may be a little overvalued though at odds of just under 10-1.
