Crosby Leads Canada Olympic Team Internet Sport Betting.  Internet sport betting is likely to have Canada as one of the favorites to win Olympic gold in 2010 with their very talented team led by Pittsburgh superstar Sidney Crosby. The Canada team is loaded with talent and will be a real threat in offshore sports betting to win at the 2010 Olympics.

Internet sport betting had Crosby being left off the team four years ago and that proved to be a mistake as Canada did nothing, finishing a pathetic 7th when the games were in Italy.  This time Canada has someone that knows what they are doing making the selections.  The executive director is Steve Yzerman and he sure knows how to win.  Getting Crosby on the team is a great first step. “This is a special honor,” Crosby said. “I’m pretty proud of it.” Other top selections for the team include New Jersey goaltender Martin Brodeur who recently set an NHL record with his 104th career shutout.

NHL scoring leader Joe Thornton was another easy selection.  Defensemen Scott Niedermayer and Chris Pronger were no Internet sport betting surprises on the team.  The star of the team in 2002 was Jarome Iginla and he returns to the Canadian team.  Two youngsters from Anaheim made the team as Internet sport betting shows, as Corey Perry and Ryan Getlaf were chosen.  The two youngest players to make the team were Chicago’s Jonathan Toews who is 21 and Los Angeles defenseman Drew Doughty who is 20 years old. The captain of the Canadian team as offshore sports betting has it will be Niedermayer with the alternates being Pronger, Crosby and Iginla.

Also making the team as Internet sport betting noted were goaltender Roberto Luongo and Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury. The other forwards are Columbus superstar Rick Nash, San Jose’s Patrick Marleau and Dany Heatley, Philadelphia’s Mike Richards, Carolina’s Eric Staal, Boston’s Patrice Bergeon and Dallas’ Brenden Morrow. The other defensemen are Chicago’s Brent Seabrook and Duncan Keith, San Jose’s Dan Boyle and Nashville’s Shea Weber.

There were a few Internet sport betting surprises.  Mike Green, who leads all defensemen in scoring as offshore sports betting stats show, did not make the team.  Neither did Calgary’s Dion Phaneuf.  Green was not seen as a player that Yzerman wanted because he doesn’t play much defense.

Canada is the favorite in Internet sport betting to win the gold along with Russia. Four years ago, Wayne Gretzky picked the Canada squad based more on loyalty than talent and Canada was humiliated in offshore sports betting.  Yzerman didn’t make that same mistake with this year’s team.
