Big 12 Teams Dominating at Home in Hoops Sports Betting

December 1, 2010 Sports Betting

Sports betting on the Big 12 had been pretty successful so far this college basketball season, especially when the teams are at home.

Now that conference play has begun, things will begin to even out a bit for the conference overall, but the home court sports betting online edge in the conference may still remain dominant.

Sports betting had seen home teams in the Big 12 go 112-1 through Monday’s games.  That is the straight up record which is amazing and the sports betting online pointspread numbers are solid as well.  Texas is the #1 team in the country and they have been winning sports betting games by big margins. Kansas was #1 until this last sports betting week and they haven’t lost at home in years.  Other teams like Mizzouri, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and even Iowa State have been tough in sports betting at home.  Is the Big 12 the best conference in the country in sports betting?  The answer to that is no but their home court edge has been impressive so far this sports betting season.

The ACC started the season with a 96-11 record in their home games.  Sports betting indicated that other conferences have 15 or more and most have 20 losses or more in home games.  The only team that lost at home heading into Wednesday’s action was Iowa State and they were hosting Texas on Wednesday so it could be that the conference gets a second home court loss.

Some teams that are a bit below the radar in sports betting online are really doing well at home. It is easy to see the home court edge for teams like Kansas and Texas but what about Missouri in sports betting?  The Tigers are simply great at home in sports betting.  Missouri head coach Mike Anderson said that the Big 12 is a very tough conference.  “Whether it’s in the Big 12, the SEC, the ACC,” Anderson said, “on any given night anyone can beat anyone, especially if you don’t play well. You’ve got to have some guys who don’t mind stepping up when the going gets tough.”  The Longhorns and Jayhawks are still the class of the Big 12 but teams like Baylor, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Missouri, Kansas State and Texas Tech can do some damage in sports betting. Missouri has won 30 straight home games and 10 straight Big 12 games at home which is something to keep in mind this sports betting online college hoops season.
