Sports betting soccer odds on the three-way line list Bayern at -130, Lyon at +375 and the draw at +240. Lyon has been very fortunate to get this far in the Champions League and most people believe it ends against Bayern.  There is some good news for Lyon though as striker Lisandro will be back after a one-match suspension.  The second leg of this semifinal will be on April 27th in Lyon.

Lyon is led by striker Miralem Pjanic who has four goals and four assists in ten Champions League matches.  Goaltender Hugo Lloris has 36 saves so far in the Champions League. Lyon has never been this far in the Champions League so they are already happy.

Bayern is led by midfielder Arjen Robben who has three goals in seven matches.  Sports betting statistics indicate that Ivica Olic has four goals and one assist.  Bayern is taking nothing for granted in this semifinal.  “This semi-final will be very tough,” Franck Ribery said, “Lyon are coming on strong in Ligue 1, so we will have to keep it tight and play our game. Both teams have a chance to reach the final. We’re having a good campaign, though, and can do it.”

Bayern has had an excellent season vs. the sports betting online odds and coach Louis van Gaal has his team believing in his system. “My way of working was something the players had to get used to,” he said, “I demand they use their brains because I believe football is played largely in the mind. I’m very direct and emotional, and I make corrections immediately.” Bayern captain Mark van Bommel had good things to say about his coach. “He’s very clear, very demanding and always puts the team first. He has exactly what a coach needs to win trophies.”

Bayern will be without Holger Bastuber and Mark van Bommel who are suspended for the first leg.  Lyon has a number of players just a yellow card away from suspension. They are Aly Cissokho, César Delgado, Maxime Gonalons, Kim Källström, Cris, Miralem Pjanić and Jérémy Toulalan.
