In the end, we just thought it was the right choice.”
Take the Points has two wins in six career starts and $156,190 in earnings. Take The Points is likely to have his regular jockey, Alex Solis in Preakness Stakes wagering. Pletcher believes his horse is training well and just needs a little bit of improvement to go the winner’s circle in Preakness wagering. “The horse is doing very well; that part of it is good,” Pletcher said. “He’s run competitively in all his races this year. The thing that we need to have happen is for him to move forward two or three lengths. We worked him in blinkers the last two times, so maybe that’s the little bit that’s going to get him that surge forward that he needs.”
