At the beginning of 2019 there was already plenty of anticipation for the 2020 United States Presidential election that. While the general election is over a year and a half away the Democrat Party is already formulating a highly competitive list of candidates. California senator Kamala Harris was the first to announce with several others following. And it’s likely that many more Democrats will join the primary battles that will begin in January of 2020. On the whole the Democrats believe that current President Donald Trump is a Political betting underdog. But 2016 is a great cautionary lesson.

Starting with Trump’s bombastic behavior and tweeting do many believe that he can be beat. Yet the current President has also exposed the Democrats. In February of 2019 the Democrats were fighting against border security. In like manner they released a “Green New Deal” that in reality would do much damage to the middle class and economy. As a matter of fact, Democrat speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi had to distance herself from it. But Harris did not. And that could prove to be a damaging mistake to her online wagering value.

Among the insane ideas of the Green New Deal was a ban on all air travel in ten years. And for every single building in America to be rebuilt into green standards. The outcome of this is that as crazy as Trump often comes off, the Democrats end up looking even worse.
Trump Derangement Syndrome
In fact, “Trump Derangement Syndrome” may fuel Democrat core support while driving away more moderate voters. Most important of all is that the Democrats are already moving hard left to appease their radical donor base. As a result, they may do the impossible in making Trump look the most rational of all candidates. Therefore, those taking part in Political Betting had better be in tune with these realities.
Hot Girl Privilege
More emphatically the two Democrat senators that announced early have weaknesses of their own. Harris began her career with “Hot Girl Privilege.” To illuminate her affair with then San Francisco mayor Willie Brown catapulted her to high profile jobs over other more qualified women. Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren is best known for lying about being an American Indian in order to get racial preferences for jobs. Namely jobs that should have went to actual American Indians. And another senator, Corey Booker of New Jersey, has stated that the world cannot survive people eating beef.

Simultaneously this has had the stunning effect of making Trump look “reasonable” to more independent voters. As a matter of fact, his State of the Union Speech was so successful that he shot up to over 50% in approval ratings. Furthermore over 70% of independent voters approved of his speech and its policies. As a result, this has changed the Political Betting dynamics. Perhaps the best comparison is 1972 when then President Richard Nixon went on to a landslide win. That year the Democrats went hard left leaving the center to the President. He won in a landslide.
Record Setting Jobs Market
Above all if the record setting jobs market continues Trump will be difficult to beat. Especially against Democrat opponents that continue to try to top themselves in proving their hard-left credentials. Definitely the long Democrat primary season could prove to be a drag on their prospects.
