Best Picture Oscars Betting Odds at SBG Global

November 30th, 2021 Oscars Betting Odds

Oscars betting odds gather a lot of categories in which the fans can bet on and make money. Oscars betting odds for Best Picture have an overwhelming favorite, a solid second choice and an interesting longshot.  “Slumdog Millionaire” is the favorite in Academy Awards betting odds, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” is a very solid second choice in Oscars betting odds while “The Reader” is an Oscars betting odds longshot with a chance.

Oscars betting odds has “Slumdog Millionaire” as the -450 favorite followed by “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” at 3.5-1.  Longshots are “Milk” and “Frost/Nixon” at 10-1 and “The Reader” at 20-1.  Most of the press has gone to “Slumdog Millionaire” and director Danny Boyle.  The picture won four Golden Globes and is the definite favorite in Academy Awards betting odds.

The second choice in Oscars betting odds, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” is the most popular of the films and one that audiences actually want to see.  Whether or not that translates into any Academy Awards is another story but audiences have preferred it over all of the other Best Picture contenders.

“Milk” and “Frost/Nixon” may be listed at 10-1 in Oscars betting odds but they may as well be 100-1.  Neither of the films is likely to win this award in Academy Awards betting odds.  “The Reader” at 20-1 in Oscars betting odds though just might steal the show.  It has a lot of positives and if one of the first two favorites doesn’t win in Oscars betting odds, then “The Reader” would be a great longshot at 20-1.  The film has Kate Winslet in it and she is the favorite to win the Best Actress award in Oscars betting odds.  It is being promoted by Harvey Weinstein who dominated the 1990’s winning 60 Oscars.  Weinstein left Miramax and Disney in 2005.

“Slumdog Millionaire” is the heavy favorite in Oscars betting odds in this category and the film will probably win.  But laying -450 in Oscars betting odds is always risky especially when two other films, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and “The Reader” have legitimate chances to win this year in Academy Awards betting odds.
