WR Vincent Jackson Situation Could Have Big Impact on NFL Online Wagering Season

WR Vincent Jackson Situation Could Have Big Impact on NFL Online Wagering Season. There are several certainties in the online wagering such as the Indy Colts winning at least 10 games every year that Peyton Manning is behind center, the Al East being the toughest division in Major League Baseball and the USA basketball team beating up on every other national team in the world.

It’s more than just a bit of hyperbole to suggest that one single player can have a major impact on the NFL online wagering season but the situation that’s brewing around San Diego Chargers Pro Bowl WR Vincent Jackson has the chance to dramatically change several division races if things play out as several NFL commentators have suggested.

First of all, let’s establish once and for all that Jackson’s position is absurd at best, and whatever word means even crazier than absurd at worst.  Jackson is coming off a career year to be sure and is without question one of the top half dozen WRs in the wagering online NFL action.  He’s a huge target, fast, physical and almost impossible for any CB to cover one on one.  His 2009 stats would make fantasy football geeks drool (1,167 yards, 8 TDs, 68 receptions and 17.2 yards per reception in 15 games) if his playing status wasn’t so questionable for the year ahead.

Sure, the Chargers and GM AJ Smith are playing hardball and you can’t blame Jackson for being disgruntled.  And maybe the Chargers are just as crazy as Jackson, but for a guy (Jackson) that has had his share of off field problems and is already suspended for at least the first three games of the season for 2010 online wagering football season, and the uncertainty of a new collective bargaining agreement getting done next year, his bargaining power is extremely limited.  And you’ve also got to remember that almost any WR in the NFL wagering online action would give his left arm to play in a high powered offense like the Bolts and catch passes from Pro Bowl QB Phil Rivers.

But here’s where things could get interesting.  The Chargers are hoping to trade the disgruntled WR and get a couple of high draft picks in return (reportedly a second and third round draft pick in upcoming drafts).  If this was to happen and the Chargers could find the right team this could have a major impact on the NFL online wagering.

For starters, the Chargers would be at a major disadvantage without Jackson.  They’re fortunate that they play in the weakest division in the NFL online wagering action but without a good receiving corps this team could struggle.

Second, if Jackson goes to a top tier club in need of a receiver (say the Vikings) he makes that team a sure-fire division winner and Super Bowl favorite.

Stay tuned to see how this soap opera plays out.
