NBA Online Wagering Preview: What Now in Cleveland?

December 6th, 2021 Online Wagering

If Miami is the clearly the most improved team in the upcoming NBA online wagering action than there should be little doubt as to which team is the least improved. Actually, “least improved” actually doesn’t do justice to what happened to the Cleveland Cavaliers nor does it fully disclose the transition that the NBA betting franchise has gone through during this online wager offseason.

Perhaps the best way to phrase to it would be to say that the Cavs have taken the biggest step backward of any team in the NBA online wagering action this offseason.  This is a team that was the best in the NBA betting last season winning a league best 61 games (61-21 record in the 2009-10 NBA online wager action) and dominated its opponents losing just 6 games all season.

But in the online wagering season ahead those numbers will seem like a far off memory without the magic of King James to lead this team in the NBA online wagering competition.

While the Heat will likely see their win total in the NBA betting action increase by 15 to 20 games (the most in the NBA online wagering competition) the Cavs will likely see their win total decrease more than any other team in the NBA betting action.

The 61 wins from a year ago will likely drop by 20 games as this Cavs lineup, without LeBron is probably about a 40 win team; and if played out West it would probably be a 30 win team.

James was the Cleveland Cavaliers and without him they are no better than the Raptors or some other mediocre Easter Conference team.  Compounding the loss of James is the fact that the Cavs leadership had all their NBA betting eggs in one basket, and once they lost their bid for LeBron they had no other free agents to sign.

And so the Cavs will go into the 2010-11 season with a very mediocre roster indeed.  A lineup of Mo Williams, Daniel Gibson, Antawn Jamison, JJ Hickson and Anderson Varejao is not very good, but is in fact very bad.  Forty wins in the NBA betting action might even be a stretch for this squad.
