NBA Online Wagering Spotlight: At 5-2 the New Look Heat Are Hardly Invincible

December 8th, 2021 Online Wagering

Seven games into the Grand Experiment the Miami Heat’s super team has hardly been in invincible in the NBA online wagering action.

The team lost its first matchup right of the gates to a better Boston Celtics squad and after 7 games is 5-2.  The team has looked decent but against a team like the Celtics it’s apparent the Heat has a long way to go to dethrone the defending Eastern Conference Champs.

In its other loss of the season to the New Orleans Hornets (6-0) who have yet to lose a game, it was evident that the Heat will struggle against teams with quality point guards and big production at center.

This team is currently in 3rd place in the Southeast Division and has been far less than spectacular so far in the first two weeks of the NBA season.  And for the entire buzz that this team has generated for sponsors, online wagering companies, the NBA and everyone else, the results for have been lacking.

Still, this team has looked brilliant at times and there’s no reason to think that it won’t continue to get better as the NBA online wagering season wears on.

The team has beat up on mostly doormat teams (including the New Jersey Nets, twice) but it does have win over a quality team.  Last week against the Orlando Magic the Heat routed what is expected to be its toughest division competition 96-70 at home.

The Heat has been impressive in every single one of its wins with an average margin of victory in the double digits, including several 20+ point blowouts.

The team’s trio of superstars has also been competent but it hasn’t produced the type of mind blowing stats that sports fans are dying to see.  Dwyane Wade has been the leading scorer with 24.1 ppg.  He’s also averaging 6.4 rebounds per game and 3.7 assists.  LeBron has become the distributor and is averaging 7.9 assists per game to go with his 20.7 ppg and 4.7 rpg.  Big man Chris Bosh has been the most disappointing of the threesome averaging just 14.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg and shooting and shooting just 45.6% from the field.

These numbers will all improve as the NBA online betting season wears on but the transition has already taken longer than many people expected and for right now at least, the Heat is not a lock for the NBA title as many experts had predicted.
