Typically July is one of the slowest months of the year for NBA online wagering action. But this year nothing could be farther from the truth. As with every NBA betting offseason, July 1st represents the first day of the Free Agency period for the NBA. Generally there are one or two top players available for teams to throw themselves at but never before have so many top players been free agents at the same time as this year.
And until this free agent log jam settles it out the entire NBA online wagering world is on hold. When you have players like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosch and others on the market the entire balance of power in the NBA online wagering action could be shifted with the signing of a contract or two.
Online wagering companies have been posting stories and rumors and any other type of info they can on their websites in an attempt to shed some light on what’s going on with these big name free agents but the truth is no one has any idea of what’s going on right now in the minds of these free agents.
The free agents can begin signing contracts on July 8th and we’re not likely to see much chance in the NBA online wagering universe until then. And even then we may not see the earth shattering re-alignments that some many of the online wagering companies’ sites had predicted we’d see.
In fact, there’s a very real possibility that only one or two players like Bosch or Amare Stoudamire change teams. Wade could very stay in Miami and James in Cleveland without much change in the NBA betting balance of power taking place at all.
On the other end of the spectrum we could still see a James, Wade and Bosh super trio in Miami, and even which would make Miami instantly the best team in the NBA odds competition.
But with several more days until any big free agent announcements are expected to be made the NBA online wagering world is basically on hold as fans and sports bettors wait to see how the this shakes out and what kind of impact it will have on the NBA betting in the season ahead.
