Warriors at Lakers Betting Preview for Sunday

As the NBA 2015-16 Regular Season -2nd Half winds towards the finals a lot of teams are seeking a playoff spot, and tomorrow afternoon we have a match-up with the Western Conference No. 1 Golden State Warriors 55-5 playing a team with no hopes of the playoffs the Western Conference last place Los Angeles Lakers 12-51 with the game being played at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California with the tip-off scheduled for 3:40 PM ET and seen on ABC TV.

The Golden State Warriors and the ‘Fairy Tale’ of a season continues to roll on this Sunday as they travel to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers of L.A. and this is their 4th game of this 2015-16 NBA season. This will be the last time for the fame Lakers star Kobe to play up against the Warriors and their famed S. Curry. The real question is whether or not the Lakers can get the mamba working in their favor to keep the Warriors from winning all the games of this series between the 2 teams.

If you Bet on NBA at a sportsbook and are a fan of the 55- 5 Golden State Warriors, your team comes to L.A. after beating the Thunder of OKC on this past Thursday at home 121-106 and increased their latest winning stretch to 7 games, while their star S. Curry led the team with some 33 points in that game.

Now after playing their last 2 games at home they get back on the road where in their ultimate 12 games are with 11 wins and 1 loss. It’s difficult at this time to find anything to say about the Warriors, other than they are a great basketball team with a lot of greatness this season. Yes, they are on track to at least tie the 1995-96 Bulls whose record was 72-10, and a win over the struggling Lakers would give the Warriors their 56th win and keep them on pace to at least tie that NBA record of the Bulls of Chicago.

This season the Warriors have not cut any slack for the Lakers, as in their 3 previous meetings they have routed the Lakers beating them in those 3 games by 34, 22 and 19 points in those 3 games. Unfortunately in those 3 games they missed winning against the spread for a perfect 3-0 ATS by just 1 single point and that was with the spreads of 17.5, 13 and 18.5 in those games.

The game following this game for the Warriors is with the Magic of Orlando in their back to back road games, so the Warriors may try to get a quick lead in this game and give their starters some rest.

If you a fan of the 12-51 Lakers things are not looking much better since in their ultimate 11 games they have 1 win and 10 losses and that comes after their loss to the Hawks of Atlanta this past Friday night. They were hoping leading scorer would shine in that game, but the rookie D. Russell who in the previous 4 games had averaged some 27 points, came back to earth in that game with the Hawks and only accumulated on his 3 shots of 15 for only 7 points in the game.

That loss against Atlanta was 1 of 3 games that the Lakers were without the famed K. Bryant who has been out with a shoulder injury, while their J. Clarkson missed the Atlanta game with an injury to his knee. Should Kobe try to comeback for this his last game against the Warriors, it’s questionable whether he can contribute and whether it’s worth further injury with his bum shoulder going into this game. In the 2 games against the Warriors in which Kobe was able to play he scored in those two games he completed 17% of his shots (5 for 29) for a total of 12 combined points. The best thing the Lakers can do in this game is try to stay up with the Warriors and make it a game, and not a runaway for the Warriors. The if the Warriors don’t give it their all, and Russell regains his stroke on scoring, then it possible that the Warriors are overlooking this game and concentrating on their Monday game with the Magic of Orlando, and that could give the Lakers a faint chance for an upset.

The online betting prediction for this Western Conference game is that the Lakers of L.A. put up a good fight but can’t put enough points on the scoreboard to overcome the Golden State Warriors who win this game 116-98.
