Jimmie Johnson won the Sprint Cup Championship for a record fifth time as he rewarded online gambling bettors that took him to win the season-long title.
Johnson finished second in the season’s last race at Homestead-Miami but that was good enough to defeat Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick. If you bet the race at Internet gambling companies then you won money if you wagered on Carl Edwards since he finished first.
Johnson’s Team a Dynasty
Bettors at Sbg global can now officially call Jimmie Johnson’s race team a dynasty. They have won five straight championships. That is something that is simply not done in sports. Johnson began Sunday’s race trailing Hamlin in the season standings but just barely. Johnson made very few mistakes on Sunday and ended up finishing second which was better than either Hamlin or Harvick could do. Harvick finished third in the race and third in the standings while Hamlin finished 14th and ended up second overall in the standings behind Johnson.
The weekend didn’t begin very well for Hamlin when he qualified poorly and it didn’t get much better on Sunday. He was in the mix but an early spin hurt his chances as it did damage to his car’s front end. A bad decision by crew chief Mike Ford also hurt Hamlin as he pitted at the wrong time. Ford ended up proving that he is not in the class of Chad Knaus as a crew chief.
Harvick Finishes Third
Kevin Harvick made a nice run at winning the race but a speeding penalty on pit road really cost him. He came back to get a third place finish but was really no threat to Jimmie Johnson in terms of winning the championship.
The NASCAR online gambling season at Internet gambling companies ended with a very competitive race in Miami as the Chase actually worked as it was intended. Johnson, Hamlin and Harvick all entered the last race of the season with a chance to win the overall season championship and that is exactly what NASCAR wanted. They may not have wanted Johnson to win the title again but that is exactly what happened as Jimmie Johnson proved to everyone that he is the best driver in NASCAR with the best team and the best organization.
