Head coach Pete Carroll becomes the 27th coach in NFL history to lead two different teams to playoff berths.
Can Seattle be Competitive on Saturday?
The question now becomes whether or not the Seahawks can make Saturday’s home game against New Orleans interesting. The Seahawks will need another good game out of quarterback Charlie Whitehurst who was 22 of 36 for 192 yards against St. Louis. The Seahawks could choose to go with Matt Hasselbeck but his mobility is a major issue. The Seahawks were routed in New Orleans earlier this season. The Saints won 34-19 and that was actually considered a pretty close game for Seattle. The Seahawks actually moved the ball pretty well against the Saints in that game. Whether they can do so again is in question as Seattle’s offense looks worse now while the New Orleans defense is better. The Seahawks didn’t do much against the Rams and they will need to score to keep pace with Drew Brees and the New Orleans offense.
