Internet Gambling on the ‘08 US Open at SBG Global

January 21st, 2022 Online Gambling

This year’s Internet gambling event could be especially exciting as Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are paired in the sports gambling action from day one.

If the winning US Open score is to finally dip into the red this year as many Internet gaming pundits have predicted, day one results have been par for the course, so to speak, as the early leaders all broke par by a sizeable margin.  One of sports gambling’s biggest golf event is underway in Torrey Pines and for the first time in recent Internet gaming ambling history the diabolical US Open could finally be tamed.  Not to say that the course is easy, but as Kevin Streelman and Justin Hicks opening round -3’s demonstrate, this Internet gambling tournament is much different than recent US Opens.

The US Open has gotten plenty of ink in the past few years and not necessarily a very nice reputation in Internet gambling circles, or among the professional sports gambling golfers.  Players complain that the course set ups are ridiculously difficult and that the grass needs a trim.  Last year at Oakmont the course layout was a joke and the rough was impossibility for even the best Internet gambling players.  No player in the internet gambling even approached red numbers for the tournament and the head groundskeeper was put on leave for his efforts -or lack thereof- for the sports gambling Major.

But at Torrey Pines, despite some tremendously long holes the course has been not been set up to ensure high scores, but simply to challenge the Internet gambling competitors but not prevent under par scores.  For most Internet gambling fans this is a welcome change.  While a challenge is always appreciated the uber-difficult layout of the US Open Internet gambling tournament prevents players from making comebacks in the field and all kills the sports betting excitement.

Hopefully both will play well enough to maintain the pairing through weekend and ensure a fine finish on Sunday to what should be a terrific Internet gambling opportunity.  Both players know the course better than their sports gambling competitors (it’s Woods’ favorite and winningest course and Mickelson practically grew up on this course) and this should translate into low scores and an exciting Internet gambling finish.
