White Sox a Factor with Long Online Betting Winning Streak

White Sox a Factor with Long Online Betting Winning Streak. One of the best teams to wager on in online gambling recently has been the Chicago White Sox. They won again on Thursday, 2-0 over the Atlanta Braves, making it nine in a row vs. the Internet betting odds for the White Sox.

Online betting odds on the White Sox really didn’t move very much since Chicago was almost out of the race in the American League Central.  The White Sox were 9.5 games behind the Twins in the division before their winning streak that moved them within 2.5 games.  It is the longest winning streak for the White Sox since 2006.

The online betting winning streak for Chicago really came out of nowhere.  There were reports that the White Sox were considering trading players and throwing in the towel for the season.  Things changed though and the Sox began to roll. Their win on Thursday was led by Paul Konerko who hit a home run in the eighth inning to give Chicago a 2-0 win over Atlanta.  The White Sox held the Braves to two hits as Gavin Floyd, J.J. Putz and Bobby Jenks combined on the shutout.  The White Sox had won 13 of their last 14 games heading into Friday’s action.

The White Sox were very impressive vs. the Internet betting odds in the series against the Braves. Atlanta had won five straight and had was red-hot.  The White Sox swept them right out of town. The Braves were swept for the first time since April.  Konerko was the hero on Thursday as he hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning. Konerko has 18 home runs on the season and is batting.410 with 22 RBIs in his last 21 games.   The White Sox sure do like Interleague play.  Before Friday’s game they were 141-103 in Interleague play since it began in 1997. This year they are a sizzling 13-2.

Pitching has been leading the way for Chicago vs. the online betting odds. Floyd has allowed just three runs in his last 29 innings. His ERA has gone from 6.64 to 4.80. He loves Interleague play as his ERA is 1.71 ERA in Interleague play.  He hasn’t gotten much run support this season with two runs or less in 11 of his 15 starts but on Thursday that was enough.  The White Sox have an ERA of 2.03 since June 8th. Jenks has converted 17 of his 18 save opportunities this season.
