Online Betting Handicappers note another Jets Addition

Online Betting Handicappers note another Jets Addition. The latest New York move had the team adding the NFL’s active sacks leader, Jason Taylor. The move should help the Jets while it might weaken the Dolphins in terms of Internet betting results. Online betting odds in the AFC East are going to be exciting this season with the New England Patriots, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins fighting for the top spot. The Jets have been very active in the off-season and the addition of Taylor proves they are serious about winning this year. Taylor has 127.5 sacks in his career and he could really help New York. He agreed to a two-year deal that could be worth as much as $3.75 million in the first year. Taylor had seven sacks last season for Miami.

The Jets had the best defense in the NFL last season as online betting statistics indicated and now they have added Taylor. The deal that Taylor signed is incentive laden so Taylor could earn as much as $13 million if he meets all the incentives.  Taylor would have preferred to remain in Miami but Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said last week that the team was waiting until after the draft to make an offer to Taylor.  It is too late for that now.

Taylor has been a rival of the Jets for many years so it will be interesting to online betting fans to see how he fits in. “I think our fans would embrace him,” defensive end Shaun Ellis said, “They know the type of player he is. There may be some fans who wouldn’t at first, but after a few weeks and he was on our team, I think they’d be really excited just to add another part like that to our defense.”

Taylor was with Miami from 1997 to 2007 before playing one year in Washington. He returned to Miami last season and played well. “I know I can play,” Taylor said, “It’s just a matter of being in the right situation. It’s a business, and we’ll see what direction it takes us.”

New York has made a number of moves that improves their chances of success vs. the online betting odds. They signed running back LaDainian Tomlinson, and traded for cornerback Antonio Cromartie and Santonio Holmes.  Now they have added Jason Taylor.  The Jets are definitely a team that should attract some interest in Internet betting this season.
