Online Betting – Say Goodbye to Henin Again

Online Betting – Say Goodbye to Henin Again FansOne of the top players in women’s tennis who racked up a lot of wins for online gambling bettors has retired.Former #1 Justine Henin retired from tennis on Wednesday, ending her comeback.  Henin was one of the top players in women’s tennis and someone who commanded respect from the oddsmakers in Internet betting at SBG.

Henin had a very good career as she won seven Grand Slam titles.  She decided that her right elbow was not going to allow her to play at a top level any more so she retired.  Henin lost to Svetlana Kuznetsova in the third round in online betting.  That loss and the damage that her elbow sustained convinced Henin to call it a career.

Former #1
Henin was number one in the world just a few years ago.  She was at the top of the women’s rankings in 2008 when she decided to retire for the first time. She came back almost two years later and last year she made it to the final of the Australian Open.  Last year at Wimbledon she partially tore a ligament in her elbow and she has not been the same.  Henin had fallen to #13 in the rankings but she still was getting a lot of respect in Internet betting tennis odds.  She was one of the major contenders at this year’s Australian Open.

Henin’s Career
In her 12 year career, Henin reached 12 Grand Slam finals and won 7 titles including four at the French Open.  Her career record finishes at 527-116.  She won a total of 43 singles titles and was ranked number one for 117 weeks in her career. Her prize money totaled over $20 million dollars. She won her first Grand Slam in 2003 in the French Open and she won three more French Opens from 2005 to 2007. She also won the U.S. Open in 2003 and in 2007. She also won the Australian Open in 2004. The one title that eluded her was Wimbledon and it was that tournament that basically ended her career as she suffered the elbow injury in last year’s loss to Kim Clijsters.  Women’s tennis definitely lost a class act and a great player on Wednesday in Henin and she will be missed in online betting.
