Monday CBB Action has Syracuse Orange vs. Louisville Cardinals

NCAAB Betting Odds and Preview Syracuse Orange vs. Louisville Cardinals

Jim Boeheim is in his 42nd season as head coach of the Syracuse Orange and his program looks like one that could be in decline.  Boeheim’s team is under the .500 mark with the offshore bookmaker both in Atlantic Coast Conference play and vs. the line.  David Padgett took over this fall as the interim head coach of the scandal ridden Louisville Cardinals and has produced far better than expected results.  Padgett’s UL team is on the bubble for March Madness and in the black on the betting board.  Louisville hosts Syracuse on Monday night.

Orange vs. Cardinals TV Coverage: ESPN

Syracuse

The Syracuse Orange have been a terrible offshore bookmaker betting value this year.  Syracuse has a record of 15-8 straight up but just 8-13 against the spread.  The Orange have come away with the cash in just two out of their last nine games.  Under the total has paid in four out of the last five Syracuse games.  On the road Syracuse has paid out in just two out of six games.  The over has hit in four out of those six away games.  In their last outing the Orange were trounced at home by Virginia 59-44.  The loss to Virginia epitomized the state of Boeheim’s program.  Syracuse ranks 300th in the nation for scoring offense.  It is highly probable that Syracuse will be out of the Big Dance for the second straight year.  In ACC action the Orange are just 4-6 straight up.

Louisville

Louisville is 6-4 straight up in ACC play.  They have an overall record of 16-7 straight up and 11-9-1 against the spread.  The Cardinals have lost just two out of their last ten games against the spread.  In their last game Louisville suffered an 80-76 home loss to Florida State.  It was the third straight up loss for The Ville in their last four games.  Under the total has hit in just two out of UL’s last nine games.  Padgett has done a solid job overall but must find a way for his team to regain momentum.

Louisville vs. Syracuse

Louisville has dominated the betting odds in their head to head series with Syracuse.  The Orange have come away with the money in just four out of their last 20 games against Louisville.  Four out of the last five games between the Orange and the Cardinals have gone over the total.  Boeheim’s program has left the city of Louisville with a sack of cash in just one out of their last nine visits.  Just one out of the last six meetings at KFC Yum! Center between the Orange and Cardinals have gone under the total.

Matchup to Watch

The big difference in these two teams is the huge offshore bookmaker advantage Louisville holds on offense.  Syracuse is hopelessly bad on offense and lacks the firepower to keep pace with The Ville.

Orange vs. Cardinals NCAA Games Betting Odds Picks

There is nothing that can lead to a Syracuse recommendation.  Louisville is playing better this season, owns the head to head series, and has a far deeper lineup.
