Bookmaker Sets NHL Playoff Odds

The bookmaker has set the odds for NHL playoff action which begins on Wednesday. There are four games in the first round of the NHL playoffs on Wednesday, three on Thursday and one more on Friday.  The online bookmaker has odds on every one of those games in addition to future odds on each series and odds to win the Stanley Cup.

Bookmaker odds favor the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins as they host Ottawa on Wednesday in Game one of their series.  The Penguins are 2-1 favorites to win that game with a total of 5.5.  Also on Wednesday it is the New Jersey Devils hosting the Philadelphia Flyers. The Devils are about a 2-1 favorite in that opener with a total of 5 over.  The two games in the Western Conference on Wednesday night have Detroit at Phoenix in game one of that series.  That opener is a pick with a total of 5.  The other game has Colorado at San Jose. The Sharks are a -240 favorite with a total of 5.5.

There are three games on Thursday in NHL Playoff action.  Bookmaker odds list Washington as a big favorite in game one against Montreal. The Capitals are almost a 3-1 favorite in Game 1 with a total of 6.  Also on Thursday it is Boston at Buffalo. The Sabres are a -170 favorite in NHL odds with a total of 5.  The late game on Thursday has Los Angeles at Vancouver. The Canucks are a -190 favorite with a total of 5.5.

There are a number of games on Friday including the first game of the series between Nashville and Chicago.  The Blackhawks are more than a 2-1 favorite in that game one.

The online bookmaker has odds for each of the teams to win the Stanley Cup.  Washington and Chicago are the two favorites while Colorado is the longest shot on the board.  There are also odds on each of the eight opening round series.  In addition to the series prices, there are odds on each game with a side and a total as was listed above.  There are a lot of different choices for betting the NHL playoffs at the bookmaker with a wide variety of odds available.  Many of the games will be televised which should also increase the attention that the NHL odds get from gamblers.
