Bookmaker – Hornets Trade Makes Chris Paul Happy. You might have missed the trade last week between the New Orleans Hornets and Toronto Raptors but it might be one that helps the Hornets down the road against NBA odds at the bookmaker. The Hornets have started the season very strongly against odds at the Sbg global sportsbook and the news gets better for Chris Paul as he now gets to play with one of his best friends.  The Hornets are starting to get a little respect in NBA futures at the bookie because of their strong start and now they have a happy Chris Paul as well.

Hornets-Raptors Trade
The Hornets traded Peja Stojakovic and Jerryd Bayless to the Toronto Raptors for Jarrett Jack, David Andersen and Marcus Banks.  The key player in the deal is Jack who is a good friend of Paul. Jack is a player who can score and he gets along well with Paul.  Stojakovic has the biggest name but he has done very little this season and was not getting much playing time for the Hornets. Stojakovic also had a big salary which the Hornets are now rid of.

Salary Cap
The Hornets have done a nice job in recent months getting rid of big salaries.  The Hornets have gotten rid of Morris Peterson, James Posey, and Darius Songaila and now they got rid of Stojakovic.  And the Hornets did all of this without giving up anything.  The Hornets are now under the luxury-tax line this season.

Jarrett Jack
The key player in the trade is Jarrett Jack.  He is a player who can score and play defense and he can actually impact results at the bookie. He is also capable of playing with Paul in the same backcourt which is something that couldn’t be said about Bayless. Jack will likely backup Paul at the point but there will be times when he also moves over and plays with Paul at the same time.

Raptors
The Raptors are hoping that Bayless is a guard they can keep in their starting lineup for many years to come.  Toronto will probably showcase Stojakovicv and then get rid of him after this season.  The Raptors have to look to the future because right now they are not a good team against the odds at the bookmaker.
