French Open Final Weekend Overview

Now this weekend will feature the Finals of both the men’s and women’s sides.  Among the biggest upsets so far was Naomi Osaka losing to Katerina Siniakova.  It was a stark reminder that there are no sure things at the French Open.  Clay court tennis continues to be a challenge far different from any other surface.  Osaka was the top seed for the women’s singles side.  Second seed Karolina Pliskova was an upset victim as well to Petra Martic.

Upsets Deplete Women’s Singles Top Seeds

Following those upsets Simona Halep has the inside track with the Tennis Betting Odds.  And she will be a popular pick based on her French Open win from last year.  Other top contenders going down were Kiki Bertens and Angelique Kerber.  Petra Kvitova had to withdraw.  And Sloane Stephens was upset by Johanna Konta.  Additionally, name brand Serena Williams lost to Sofia Kenin.  More emphatically six of the top seven seeds are out of the women’s singles division!

Men’s Singles

By contrast the men’s side has been much more stable for Offshore betting.  None of the top five seeds were eliminated.   Namely any conversation about the men’s French Open begins with Rafael Nadal.  Consider that Nadal has won the past two French Open titles. In fact, the “King of Clay” has 10 career championships in this event.  Nadal will be facing Roger Federer in the semifinals.

Federer vs. Nadal

Without question this is a dream matchup and top draw of super power names.  Federer is in his first French Open in four years.  Of great concern is the fact that Federer has won the French open only one time.  That was back in 2009.  For the most part Federer has not shown as much confidence on the clay court.  In view of that a lot of betting money will flood towards Nadal.  Subsequently bargain hunters may give Federer a serious look.

Novak Djokovic

At the onset of the French Open men’s singles Novak Djokovic was the top seed. He won the French Open once in 2016.  Last year he took the Wimbledon and US Open titles.  Additionally, he won the Australian Open to start 2019.

Matchup to Watch

Naturally the Federer vs. Nadal matchup is a dream pairing for the Tennis Betting Odds.  Not withstanding the prices and resumes Nadal brings a tremendous record of results on clay.

Tennis Betting Odds Picks

Rafael Nadal on the men’s and Simona Halep on the women’s side offer the best chances for wins.
