NHL Betting – Penguins at Flyers on Saturday

Two Atlantic Division rivals meet in NHL betting on Saturday as the Philadelphia Flyers host the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins might be happy to get on the road as they have not played that well at home.  The Flyers are off to a strong start this season and they are worth considering with an NHL bet in this game even against the high flying Penguins.

The Penguins are one of the favorites to win the Stanley Cup this season at Sbg global but they have gotten off to a slow start.  For some reason they have not played well at home and that is very unusual.  Last year the Penguins were very solid on home ice.  Pittsburgh is capable of winning on the road and they are going to get some action in this game simply because they have Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.

Recent Series History – The Penguins have owned this series even though they lost their home opener 3-2 to the Flyers.  Even with that loss the Penguins have still won 14 of the last 20 against the Flyers.  That is a number that is simply hard to ignore.  The number gets even more pronounced when the Penguins are on the road at Philly. They have won 7 of the last 9 at Philadelphia.  You simply have to give the Penguins a long look with your NHL bet simply because of their great success against the Flyers.

Under the Total – You probably think that with the Penguins you simply bet the over all the time.  Well, you can’t do that and win money.  In this series, four of the last five meetings have gone under the total.  That 3-2 final earlier this season went under the total of six. The two teams have combined to score exactly five goals in three of the last five games.

This is not a bad spot for the Penguins in NHL betting as it is just a one-game road trip.  And on top of that it is not very far.  The one drawback is that they had to play last night at home against the Islanders but if you are going to have to play a back-to-back then having the Islanders in the first half is the way to go.
