NHL Betting on Minnesota at Edmonton at SBG Global

NHL betting is in full swing as the bet on NHL postseason approaches. Right now teams are fighting tooth and nail trying to lock up a NHL odds playoff spot as the home stretch approaches. One game that wouldn’t have had little impact on the NHL betting playoff race a month ago, Minnesota at Edmonton on January 30th,  is now suddenly a very important bet on NHL opportunity indeed as the Oilers have been on tear of late.

NHL betting fans are surely aware of the surge that the team has been making in the NHL odds standings in the Northwest division.  Heading into the final week before the 2009 NHL betting all star game there is hardly a team hotter than Edmonton right now and with a mediocre team like the Wild going to the bet on NHL battle with the home team Oilers, chances are Edmonton will be even closer to a playoff spot after the all star break.

Just a few weeks ago the Oilers were languishing in last place in the Northwest Division but over their last ten NHL betting games the team has gone 7-3. The secret of the team’s NHL odds success comes from many things, but one aspect of the team’s play that has not doubt helped out in the NHL betting is its improved play at home.  Prior to the team’s current hot streak against the NHL wagering odds, the Oilers actually had a losing record at home. But with that bet on NHL anomaly now straightened out the sky seems to be limit for the Oilers.

The team is currently in second place in the division with Calgary seven points clear in the NHL wagering standings. But Minnesota, mediocre as they may be, is just two points behind the Oilers in the NHL betting standings and would love to make that ground up with a win on the road in the frozen Alberta tundra.  However, momentum is not on Wild’s side as the team is just 5-4-1 over it’s past ten bet on NHL games and has a losing record on the road.  Despite having the second stingiest D in the league, scoring has been this team’s problem.

If the Wild are going to come out on top of this NHL wagering battle the team must get some scoring help for standout center Mikko Koivu.  Koivu has been outstanding but heading into the NHL betting all star break, he’s the only player that has top 20 points in the scoring column.  And that could very well happen as Edmonton’s one weakness has been a porous defense in the first half of the bet on NHL season.

However, if you’re going to bet on NHL action in this game take the Oilers at home.  It’s one of the hottest teams in NHL betting right now and will only get better.
