NHL Betting Odds: Detroit vs. Chicago Game 3 at SBG Global

NHL betting odds makers have seen some unpredictable results in this series thus far. Entering the Western Conference NHL playoffs odds finals, it looked as if the defending champion, Detroit Redwings, would have the upper hand in the NHL odds. And, after two games the Wings teams have a 2-0 lead in the NHL playoffs odds standings, but this series has the look of a match up that could go seven games.

NHL odds fans watched in game two as the Blackhawks almost “stole” a win on the road in Detroit. More than that, the Hawks served noticed to the Red Wings that they are nobody’s whipping and that they came to the NHL odds post season looking to take home Lord Stanley’s Cup. Simply reaching the Conference finals isn’t enough. Even though the team is down 2-0, the tight game two on the road proves that this team is a legitimate NHL odds Stanley Cup contender.

Admittedly the Red Wings stars have been sub-par not only in this NHL odds series, but the entire post season up to this point. But because of the Wings tremendous depth the Wings have still dispatched with two NHL odds opponents so far and are just three wins away from returning to the Stanley Cup NHL playoffs odds Finals. However, Chicago is the toughest team that the Wings have seen so far in the NHL post season. If the Wings don’t get better results from players like regular season leading scorer and MVP candidate Pavel Datsyuk, defensive standout Henrik Zetterberg and leading goal scorer Marian Hossa the Hawks could make a series out of it.

If the top players on the Wings continue to slump the Hawks will win the May 24th game three of this NHL playoffs odds game and maybe even win this NHL betting odds series. So far, the tremendous depth of the Wings has carried them through the first two rounds of the playoffs, but Chicago is simply too good. After pushing the Wings in Detroit to open this NHL odds series, Chicago hopes to tie the series up at 2-2 before the NHL odds series moves back to Detroit for game five.

So far the Wings have been carried by third and fourth line guys like Dan Cleary and Mikael Samuelsson, but against a top flight NHL betting odds team like the Hawks, on their home ice it might not be enough to return to the Stanley Cup Finals and defend its NHL betting odds crown.
