Roller Coaster Game 4
You rarely see a game as crazy as Saturday’s Game 4 when you make an NHL bet.  The Lightning game out and were awful as they trailed 3-0 after the first period.  Boston let their foot off the gas though and Tampa Bay scored the final five of goals of the game to win 5-3.  A huge hit by Tampa Bay’s Ryan Malone changed the entire complex of Game 4 and the series.  He hit Boston’s Zdeno Chara and it was that hit that allowed Simon Gagne to get it to Teddy Purcell for Tampa’s first goal of the game.  Purcell scored just over a minute later to make it 3-2 and Sean Bergenheim tied at three minutes later.  Gagne scored the game winner in the third.

Roloson Pulled
Tampa Bay head coach Guy Boucher pulled goaltender Dwayne Roloson after the first period and Mike Smith played the rest of the way.  The Lightning came out hard in the second period and Smith shut down the Bruins who seemed to think the game was over at 3-0. Boston head coach Claude Julien said that his team simply imploded and let Tampa Bay back into the series.  Patrice Bergeron, who scored two first period goals, said that the team just stopped playing.

Game 5 Notes
The Bruins have to be thinking now about what happened last year against the Philadelphia Flyers when they blew a 3-0 series lead.  The Bruins had total control of the series in Game 4 and let the Lightning off the hook. Now the momentum in clearly on the side of the Lightning for Monday night’s game in Boston. Home ice advantage hasn’t meant much in this series as each team has won a game on the road.  What has been happening though is that the games have been high scoring. Three of the four games have gone over the total in NHL betting.
