Canes Face NHL Betting Odds Desperation against Bruins Thursday

Boston Bruins vs. Carolina Hurricanes Game 4

Above all the Carolina Hurricanes have earned considerable NHL Betting online respect and credibility this spring.  As a team that was not expected to make the playoffs their berth into the Eastern Conference Final has stunned the hockey and gambling world.  However, the Boston Bruins bring a stark reality check.  For all that Carolina has accomplished Boston is the most complete team that they have faced in the post season.  The first two games of this Eastern Conference Final series demonstrated the Bruins power.  A return to PNC Arena was believed to be the potential equalizer for the Hurricanes.

Eastern Conference Final Series Update

Now Boston has taken a commanding 3-0 series lead in the best of seven series.  Game three was a 2-1 Bruins win at Carolina.  Should Boston win game four they will win the series and the Eastern Conference championship.  Naturally that means a berth in the Stanley Cup Final.  Should Carolina win they would stave off elimination and force a game five back at Boston.  While the home crowd helped the Hurricanes play much better than games one and two it was still not enough.  Boston has shown to be the deeper team.

Tuukka Rask Dominates Playoffs

So far in the playoffs no player has been as valuable to his team as Boston goaltender Tuukka Rask.  Game three was a great example of his Conn Smythe Trophy credentials for playoff most valuable player.  Rask stopped 35 out of 36 Carolina shots and turned away all 20 shots of a first period barrage by the Canes.  Overall in post season Tuukka has a .939 save percentage, 1.96 goals against average, and one shutout.  Rask was a backup to Tim Thomas when Boston won the 2011 Stanley Cup.  He looks determined to become a Bruins playoff legend.

Boston and Carolina Betting Trends

Concurrently the Bruins have been a strong NHL Betting online value in road playoff games.  Boston has won five of their last six in that role.  Their last four away post season tilts stayed under the total.  By contrast the Hurricanes have been quite profitable in home playoff games.  Carolina has won five of their last six in that situation.  Three of their last four home playoff games have gone over the total.

Bruins vs. Hurricanes Head to Head with Spread at PNC Arena

Late on the Bruins have been a strong Offshore betting play at PNC Arena.  Boston has won three of their last four games at Carolina.  Only two of the last six games between Boston and the Canes at PNC Arena have gone under the total.

Matchup to Watch

Certainly, the Hurricanes have been on an inspiring NHL Betting online run.  But the Bruins have served to be a measuring stick as to how far Carolina must go to get to a championship level.

Bruins vs. Hurricanes NHL Betting Online Picks

Overall Boston has vastly superior weaponry and goaltending.  As mentioned earlier they get the money on the road and at Carolina.
