Western Conference Final Series Update

Game three was an unmitigated disaster for the Blues.  For example, St. Louis rallied form a 3-1 deficit to take a 4-3 least late into the third period.  But Logan Couture tied the game with a goal at the 18:59 mark to force overtime.  In the extra session the Sharks got the game winner from Erik Karlsson at 5:35. However the game winning goal was filled with controversy.  An illegal hand pass played prominently in Karlsson’s goal.  More emphatically the NHL video review process doesn’t cover such plays.  San Jose leads the series 2-1.

Can Blues Recover?

Following the game three roller coaster are legitimate concerns about the Blues mindset going forward.  While the overtime game winner was tarnished St. Louis blew the game at regulation.  To rally as they did only to blow the lead with a minute to play is bad enough.  Additionally, rookie goaltender Jordan Binnington failed to deliver when it mattered most.

Sharks Top Performers

At the onset of this series Logan Couture figured to loom large for the Sharks.  Couture is a bona fide Conn Smythe Trophy candidate as playoff Most Valuable Player.  His NHL Betting online excellence includes 14 goals with six assists and a plus eight.  Further Sharks support comes from defenseman Erik Karlsson.  He is one of the highest skilled offensive defensemen in the game.  Consider Karlsson has a team high 13 assists to go with two goals.  Goaltender Martin Jones can be inconsistent.  But he has been clutch when it matters most.

Blues Top Performers

Overall goaltender Jordan Binnington was the key Offshore bookmaker asset that saved the Blues season.  Post season has proven to be a much tougher challenge for Binnington.  To illuminate his regular season save percentage was .927.  Compared to .904 in the playoffs.

Matchup to Watch
