What Each Team Needs To Do To Win Super Bowl XLIX

Here we are on the 28th of January, just 5 days before Super Bowl XLIX. The New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks with the game played at the U. of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. All of the Super Bowl betting action will be televised on NBC TV. The present betting line favors the Patriots at -1 with total at 47 ½ and -115 ML.

This game brings us the outstanding offense of the New England Patriots up against the No. 1 NFL defense that is very dominant, and I’m sure you’ve heard that before. But it is a Super Bowl clash that last season went in Seattle’s favor as they beat Denver 43-8 as the underdog, and this is the 2nd consecutive season that each conference top seed are playing in the Super Bowl.

Back in the 1980 thru the 1990’s the games were dominated by the NFC as they won 15 of the 16 Super Bowls and that included 13 consecutive wins, but that change in 1198 when the Packers were upset by Denver 31-24, and after that in the last 17 years the AFC has won 10 of the Super Bowls.

The Super Bowl this 2015 brings us the physical versus the finesse with the fast shooting QB and veteran against the throwback rushing game and an intensive powerful defense. We’ve seen the games that very offensive orientated, but in fact they say defense still rules. Thus remember that 4 years ago when the Steelers and Packers played the Packers were No. and the Steelers No. 2 in the NFL for points allowed. Remember in the last 13 Super Bowls the underdog was 10-3 ATS (against the spread) and won 7 times. So what can we expect in this Sunday as the unofficial national holiday for America gives us the Super Bowl kick off at 6:30 PM ET.

On defense the Patriots want to stop the run, as that is what the Seahawks offense does best when RB Lynch and QB Wilson run the ball. They plan to contain both players, and not let QB Wilson slip outside, and for that on 1st downs they will bring their safety up. On offense New England is tough defending as they are very unpredictable with selection of plays. With the Seattle defense that can stop the run the Patriots may switch to the short and fast passing game, and with a no huddle, and use some trick plays. Also they may use some reverses and draws with Vereen, Blount and Edelman. Offensively and in the passing game the Patriots 38 year old veteran QB Brady with 33 touchdowns this season, is with plenty of targets in WR Edelman and LaFell, the touchdowns Wright and star Gronkowski who had receptions for 1,124 yards in 2014. There defense this season has been much improved and very versatile from last season.

They say the Seahawks in this game would like to forget about a track meet with the Patriots, as Seattle is a team that prefers to knock down opponents from the start of the game through the end of the 4th quarter. They have a very dominating defense, and they are a very physical team and are No. 1 in the NFL against the passing game of opponents. On offense they are a team that does whatever is need to win a game behind QB Wilson with 20 touchdowns and RB Lynch who has 1,306 yards in 2014 who get better as the game comes closer to ending. The Seahawks have had two weeks to recover from their incredible playoff win over the Packers, and the Seahawks are on a 24-16-1 run ATS, and 11-5 under when they play against a team with a winning record.

If you bet on NFL at an offshore betting site, in this Super Bowl the Patriots in the last 5 Super Bowls have gone 4-1 under the total, while Seattle has went 9-3 over the total and in the games that are playoffs.
