As we continue on in the 2015 NFL Regular Season we have Monday Night Football Game on Monday the 2nd of November 2015 between the 6-0 Panthers of Carolina (NFC South) playing at the 3-4 Colts of Indianapolis (AFC South) with the game being played at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana with kick-off scheduled for 8:35 PM ET and seen on ESPN TV.
The opening Vegas odds have the Panthers favored in the game at -7-105 and the Over/under at 46 ½ and -290 on the Money Line, while the Colts of Indy are the underdogs in the game at +7-105 and + 245 on the Money Line.
If your Bet on NFL and at offshore betting site surely you aware that the Panthers are having one of their best seasons to start in the franchise history, while the Colts have been struggling with injuries and have found it hard to get back on track to winning ways that they are accustomed to.
In this MNF game the Panthers will seek to remain undefeated and give the Colts their worst losing streak of 3 games since back in 2011. But the Panther need to be cautious if they want to reach the mid-point of the season undefeated. The team feels that 6-0 is a pretty good record, but to stay their then they need to be 1-0 each weekend, and that will require some extra effort.
Even as the Panthers are the 2 time reigning NFC South champs they still have not beaten a team that presently has a winning record. However their win in Week 6 over Seattle 27-23 and the win over the Eagles 27-16 both were somewhat impressive. The Panthers teammates feel they have performed well to date, but they still need to get better to win the games the critics don’t believe they can win.
The Panthers QB Newton has struggled with a low 55.6 percentage on completions with 9 touchdowns and 7 intercepts and a QB rating of 78.2, which surely has to be a concern, but their running game has taken up some slack since its leading in the NFL stats as gaining some 145 yards each game, and that same offense has had 17 consecutive game with at l00 points per game, while QB Newton also has been averaging on his rushing attempts some 4.6 yards on each carry and has scored 4 touchdowns rushing this season.
The Carolina RB J. Stewart has a record streak going as he has been averaging some 5.3 yard each carry and in the game with the Eagles he rushed for some 125 yards. The Panthers staff believes increasing their running game take pressure off their QB, and it also gives the offensive line to tee on opponents, and lastly wears the opposing players down some.
While the 3-4 Colts to date on defense last week allowed the Saints of New Orleans to rush for 183 yards and may have been a reason the Saints won the game 27-21 in Indy. Indianapolis also has a last place ranking since they have allowed opponents 409 yards each game and 24.8 points in each game this season. With these stats the Colts coaching staff is experiencing a feeling of urgency if they down want to have a 3rd consecutive loss!
What’s amazing is that the Colts with a 3-4 record are still at the top of the AFC South division, which is the worst in the NFL. There back-up QB Hasselbeck takes the attitude that their still in it, but the team needs to begin playing much better. Their 1st string QB A. Luck who returned from injury in his 2 games has thrown for 6 touchdowns but against the Saints he was intercepted 2 times. QB Luck was also sacked some 4 times as his offensive line continues to struggle and have allowed 15 sacks this season, and has league high 16 penalties to date.
In this game it does not appear that the going will become any easier for the Colts since the defense of the Panthers have had 18 sacks in their ultimate 2 games, while allowing only 1 of their 6 opposing teams to pass for 200 yards to date. Offensively may be different since the Panthers have allowed their opponents to average some 145 yards in the ultimate 3 games and that could mean more carries for Colts RB F. Gore. A Colt veteran that averages 4.5 yards on each carry and in the last 2 games he carried the ball some 22 times.
The sportsbook prediction for this game is that fans will see an interesting game between 2 good QBs and similar defenses, and the team to win this game will be the one that has the best ground game without predicting the score.
