Week 7 Seahawks of Seattle at 49ers of San Francisco

With the 2015-16 NFL Regular season moving into Week #7 we have the 2-4 Seahawks of Seattle (NFC West) playing their rivals the 2-4 49ers of San Francisco (NFC West) with the tame being played on Thursday the 22nd of October 2015 at the Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California with kick-off scheduled for 8:30 PM ET and can be seen on CBS TV.

The opening odds at the SBG sportsbook for those that Bet on NFL football the Seahawks are favored at -6 with the Over/under at 42 and -260 on the Money Line, while the underdog 49ers are at +6 and +220 on the Money Line.

Yes this game is with 2 rival teams of the Wild NFC West and 3 of the teams in that division are below .500, thus this is an important game as there will be. Neither team at this stage can afford to have their record reflect 5 losses, nor the season is not yet half over. Thus we wonder who will win this exciting match-up in Santa Clara.

Are you a fan of the 2-4 Seahawks of Seattle and can’t believe that your team after 6 games is less than .500 for 2015, and yes that’s a surprise for all the fans of Seattle, as they had another game where they had a nice lead and lost the game in the 4th quarter losing to the Panthers of Carolina 27-23 and the Panthers are now 6-0!

In the game the Panthers QB C. Newton completed a pass for a TD to G. Olsen with only 30 seconds left in the game. Yes the Seahawks actually had the lead of 9 points in that 4th quarter, when QB Newton in the 4th and 2 consecutive 80 yard drives to win the game. With that loss the Seahawks in their last 3 games have been outscored 40-3!

For Seattle that was their 3rd loss at home for QB R. Wilson who ended the game completing 18 of his 30 pass attempts for 240 yards and 1 TD. The only good thing in their passing game was that TE J. Graham had 8 receptions for some 142 yards.

But their running game could not seem to advance on the Panthers defensive front 7 as returning star RB M. Lynch only had 17 carries for some 54 yards in the game and 1 TD.

If Seattle is to make a comeback their defense will have to step up against the running game of San Francisco who presently rank 6th in the league having some 130 yards rushing each game, but last Sunday they only accumulated 65 yards on the ground. The Seahawks however are allowing only 93 yards rushing each game and that ranks 7th in the league. In the last 5 games with the 49ers the Seahawks are 4 and 1 straight up.

If you like the 49ers of San Francisco you are aware that their win this past Sunday over the Ravens of Baltimore 25-20 ended their 4 game skid for this season and against the Seahawks. What was interesting was the fact that 2 former WR of the Ravens now playing for the 49ers dealt their old team the most damage, as WR’s T. Smith and A. Boldin had a combined 198 yards on receptions and 8 total receptions, and WR Smith scored 1 TD.

The performances of those 2 WRs surely made their QB C. Kaepernick look outstanding as he had 340 yard passing in that game, which made I the 2nd highest passing output of his career with the 49ers, and that included some 3 receptions that were for over 50 yards in the game. If the 49ers are to beat the Seahawks they will need QB Kaepernick to have another outstanding passing performance.

On defense the 49ers had a good game in that Week 6 as they intercepted Ravens QB J. Flacco 2 times in that game. But he still managed to pass for 344 yards. Presently the 49ers rank 30th against the passing game, as they have allowed opponents to accumulate sine 300 yards passing in each game. The Niners in their last 10 home games are at 3 and 7 against the spread.

Predicting a winner in this game with both teams having 2 wins and 4 losses is difficult, but the 49ers appear to be ready to shock the Seahawks and win a close game 21-17 on Sunday.
