First-year Giants coach Joe Judge now knows the full extent of New York’s betting on NFL disaster. It’s far different than his serving as Bill Belichick’s special teams’ coach at New England. Belichick’s assistants have a terrible reputation for failure. Judge’s 0-5 start to his tenure fits the pattern. Yet it’s not fair to blame the new coach of Big Blue. Problematic is Giants Dave Gettleman. Gettleman took over in 2018 and has overseen the Giants’ slide. His claim to fame was being Giants Director of Pro Personnel when they won a couple of Super Bowls.
