NFL betting odds had the Dallas Cowboys getting routed this past Sunday by the Dallas Cowboys 34-3 but owner Jerry Jones has decided to bring back head coach Wade Phillips. Some that look at NFL lines were thinking that Phillips would be fired after the Cowboys failed to reach the Super Bowl but that is not the case.

The Cowboys have not extended Phillips but just bringing him back is a surprise to many who wager on NFL betting odds. Phillips definitely has the support of his players though. “His record speaks for itself,” quarterback Tony Romo said, “He’s done a great job, kept the team together through a lot of tough times this year. He’s done a fantastic job as coach of the Cowboys.”

There is no question that Phillips is an excellent defensive coordinator but his skills as a head coach are still questionable but he is going to get another chance with Dallas in NFL betting odds.
