Titans to Wear McNair Decal – Online NFL Betting

Online NFL betting tells us that the Tennessee Titans will wear a #9 decal on their helmets this season in honor of former quarterback Steve McNair who was killed earlier this year. The Titans will begin wearing the decal in this weekend’s Hall of Fame game football betting opener on Sunday in a game that can be seen on NBC television.

Online NFL betting info shows that the NFL approved the decal.  McNair played 11 seasons with the Titans as football betting info reflects.  He led the team to its only Super Bowl appearance although the Titans lost as football betting results showed.  He was 81-59 with the Titans in his career as online NFL betting numbers indicate.  He was co-MVP of the league in 2003 as online NFL betting information showed.

Online NFL betting tells us that the Titans felt that wearing a decal was a good way to honor McNair. “We felt this was an appropriate way to honor Steve McNair and the contributions he made to our franchise,” Titans owner Bud Adams said, “We have other things planned for our fans to honor him and the McNair family.”

Online NFL betting had McNair retiring after playing 13 NFL seasons, the final two with the Baltimore Ravens.  Online NFL betting had McNair being very popular with players around the league, especially former teammates.

“It’s very much well-deserved for the person Mac was in this community, who he was on this team, what he meant to this organization and the players that he’s influenced big and small over the years,” linebacker Keith Bulluck said.

The Titans are 2.5 point online NFL betting favorites at the sportsbook as they open up the 2009 NFL football betting preseason in the Hall of Fame Game on Sunday from Canton, Ohio against the Buffalo Bills. The online NFL betting total for the game at the sports book is 31.

One player that will see action in online NFL betting on Sunday is backup quarterback Vince Young who was close to McNair.  He said that the decal is a great way to show how much the Titans will miss McNair. “It’s going to be big,” Young said.

The Titans are considered one of the online NFL betting contenders this season in the AFC behind the New England Patriots at the sports book.  Tennessee is listed at 20-1 to win the Super Bowl at the sportsbook.
