Seattle Seahawks at Houston Football Betting

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

Football betting on Sunday includes a matchup between two struggling teams with banged up quarterbacks as Houston hosts Seattle.

Both teams are on the outside looking in at the playoffs. The Seahawks did win last week in NFL betting though while the Texans lost again.

Football betting does favor Houston in this game as they are at home. The Texans are hoping that quarterback Matt Schaub is healthy enough to play. He separated his shoulder in last week’s loss to Jacksonville but did come back into the game and he has a good chance to play this week. Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has been banged up all year but he is also expected to play in this football betting matchup. The Seahawks came up with a home win last week against San Francisco but the Seahawks are still well back in their division.

Seattle has been terrible on the road in football betting. They simply have not been competitive away from Seattle. They could have trouble in this football betting matchup against a Houston team that has the ability to put points on the board. The Texans have lost four straight, many of which were last minute defeats. It seems like the Texans struggled in NFL betting began when they lost tight end Owen Daniels to injury. Houston has found way to lose games, particularly divisional games and that has cost them a realistic chance of making the football betting playoffs. The Texans have been one of the most frustrating teams for gamblers to bet on this season as they continually look good early in games, yet fall apart at the end.

Football betting stats indicate that Seattle’s Justin Forsett has a touchdown in four straight games. The Seahawks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in December. As stated previously, the Seahawks are not a good road team in football betting. The Seahawks are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 NFL betting road games. They are also a poor underdog as they are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games as a football betting underdog.

Houston has not been very good in football betting at home. The Texans are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 home games.

Four of the last five Seattle road games have gone over the football betting total. Four of the last five Houston games have gone under the NFL betting number.
