NFL betting on Sunday favors the Dallas Cowboys as they host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Things seemed to have turned around for the Cowboys now that they are 4-2 on the season but they must avoid this trap game at home in football betting against Seattle.
NFL betting stats have the Cowboys at 4-2 straight up this season but only 3-3 against the spread. Dallas got a huge NFL betting win last week at home as they beat Atlanta. Seattle was off last week as they had a bye. Despite being in different divisions, the Cowboys and Seahawks have played a lot recently. Since 2002 they have met five teams and the Seahawks have won three of the five. They have met just twice in Dallas during that time and the teams split. The most recent NFL betting meeting was last year as the Cowboys won 34-9 at home. The last three games between the two teams have gone under in NFL betting. Recent trends for Dallas though may point to an over the way they are scoring points the last few weeks.
Many people are going to look at Dallas in this NFL betting matchup. Not many people give Seattle a chance but quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is not giving up on the team. “I think people have definitely counted us out. I think there’s a lot of negativity around our team. I’ve heard people say that the season’s over, we’ve got no chance,” he said. “That’s ridiculous. That’s absolutely ridiculous.”
Seattle used the bye week to get healthier as cornerback Marcus Trufant and linebacker Leroy Hill are practicing. They are not going to get linebacker Lofa Tatupu back this week and neither Walter Jones nor Sean Locklear looks ready to return. The problem for Seattle is that they are only 2-8 away from home the past two football betting seasons.
Dallas is rolling along now led by an offense that is one of the best in the NFL. The Cowboys are putting up a lot of points with Tony Romo playing well. Miles Austin has become the key receiver that Romo has needed and the running game with Marion Barber, Felix Jones and Tashard Choice has been very solid. This is a definite letdown spot for Dallas in NFL betting though since next week they are at Philadelphia in what will be a huge division game.
