Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Football Betting

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

Football betting has an NFC West battle on Sunday between the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals.

It is must-game for Seattle if they want to have any chance in the division since they trail the Cardinals by two games. NFL betting odds are not in their favor though since Arizona is better than a touchdown favorite.

Football betting has seen the Cardinals win 12 of the 21 all-time meetings against Seattle. The Cardinals have won five of the past six in the series including a 27-3 football betting rout over Seattle in Week 6. The Cardinals are rolling again on offense led by quarterback Kurt Warner who threw five touchdown passes last week against Chicago. He is tied for second in the league in TD passes (16) and third in interceptions (11). Warner had his great football betting week against the Bears without wide receiver Anquan Boldin who did not play. If you think that Boldin is a big football betting key to Arizona you might want to think again. The Cardinals are 5-1 the past two seasons in football betting games when Boldin has not played.

Arizona is not taking Sunday’s game against Seattle lightly. “Seattle has been struggling and that is the most dangerous team… They know they’ve got their hands full on Sunday. We have to establish our home field.” Said Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett.

Seattle has not played well of late and has not been a football betting team to follow. They have very few positive NFL betting trends:

The Seahawks are 2-5 in their last 7 games overall.
The Seahawks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. the NFC.
The Seahawks are 0-5 in football betting in their last 5 games as a road underdog.
The Seahawks are 1-4 in their last 5 NFL betting meetings in Arizona.

Arizona has been pretty good lately. The Cardinals are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. the NFC West and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The home team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 football betting meetings between Seattle and Arizona.

Four of the last five Seattle games when they were getting points went over the football betting total. 9 of the last 13 Seattle road games when they were an underdog went over the total. 13 of the last 17 Arizona home games have gone over the football betting total. The last five games in this series in Arizona have gone over in NFL betting.
