Seattle Seahawks

Seattle has a betting on NFL Record of 2-2 straight up and 1-2-1 against the spread.  Further, just one of the Seahawks games have gone over the total.  In view of an offense that ranks 28th in the NFL Seattle is floundering.  Although quarterback Russell Wilson has solid numbers they aren’t spectacular.  Wilson is also drawing heat for a perception that he is spoiled by coach Pete Carroll.  Also problematic is a rush defense that has been chewed up and spit out.  In fact, the Seahawks rank 27th in the league vs. the run.

Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles has an online wagering record of 4-0 straight up with three payouts.  Subsequently the Rams have gone 2-2 on totals.  At the beginning LA boasts the NFL’s top ranked offense.  In turn the Los Angeles defense ranks fifth for fewest points allowed.  In the same way quarterback Jared Goff has been lights out for the Rams.  To show, Goff has a 127.3 quarterback rating with 11 touchdowns and two interceptions.

Stats to Consider

Brandon Cooks has been Goff’s favorite receiver with 26 catches and 17.4 yards per reception with a TD.  Couper Kupp and Robert Woods have 24 receptions each.  Additionally, running back Todd Gurley is keeping defenses honest with 4.3 yards per carry and four touchdowns.  For all that Los Angeles has emerged as a top tier NFC contender.  The Rams boast multiple weapons, depth, and arguably the best QB in the NFL.  Most important of all Sean McVay has emerged as one of the top young coaches in pro football.  McVay is proving that last year’s surprise playoff berth was no fluke.

Team vs. Team

Head to head the Rams have had the upper hand against Seattle.  To illustrate LA is 8-4 vs. the odds in this series.  Nine of the last 12 in this series have gone under the total.  By contrast at Seattle the Seahawks have been stout against the Rams.  In fact, LA has failed to cover eight of their last 11 visits to CenturyLink Field.  Seven of the last nine in this series at Seattle have gone under the total.

Matchup to Watch

On this occasion Seattle is a surprise betting on NFL contrarian play.  Certainly, the Rams are good but this is a big road lay.  In view of Seattle covering 11 of their last 13 as home dogs they merit the call.
