San Diego Chargers at Tennessee NFL Betting

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

NFL betting should be exciting on Christmas Night as the Tennessee Titans host the San Diego Chargers.

The Chargers clinched the AFC West last week with a 27-24 win over Cincinnati but they are still playing for home field advantage. The Titans got back to .500 last football betting week with a win over the Dolphins and they are still in the Wild Card hunt in the AFC.

NFL betting has the Chargers red-hot as they have won nine straight games. Nate Kaeding hit a 52-yard field goal with three seconds left as the Chargers won 27-24 last week against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Chargers clinched their division as the Broncos lost to Oakland. San Diego is now 17-0 in December going back to 2006. Normally San Diego is struggling to make the NFL betting playoffs but this season they have rolled and are now playing for the #2 seed in the AFC.

The Titans started the NFL betting season at 0-6 but they have been one of the best teams since that time going 7-1. Last week it was Rob Bironas kicking a 46-yard field goal in overtime as the Titans beat Miami 27-24. I was just glad we won," Tennessee tight end Alge Crumpler said. "I was a little peeved at the way it had to go down. But, hey look, we’re still breathing baby." Vince Young had a career-high three touchdown throws and Chris Johnson ran for 104 yards. Tennessee gave up 468 yards in the victory but they did not cover the NFL betting pointspread as they won by just three points. Tennessee has now won five straight at home and they should get some football betting action this week.

San Diego has won six of the last ten games outright against Tennessee but they are just 5-5 against the football betting odds. The teams met last year in San Diego and the Chargers won 17-6. A low scoring game seems unlikely in this NFL betting contest with both of these offenses. These two teams have actually met in each of the past three years and San Diego has won each time. The Chargers have actually won five in row straight up and against the NFL betting line against Tennessee.

San Diego is 4-3 on the road this season. The Chargers are in the Top 5 in the league in scoring so this football betting game should be exciting.
