Roethlisberger Expected to Start NFL Betting Odds

NFL betting odds heavily favor the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday and with good reason since they play the Oakland Raiders and they will be getting starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger back into the lineup. Last week the Steelers lost in NFL lines to the Baltimore Ravens as Roethlisberger missed the game.

NFL betting odds have the Steelers as double-digit home favorites against the Raiders on Sunday.  Pittsburgh would have been favored even if Big Ben missed the game but with him in the lineup they are expected to win easily.  The Steelers are definitely a better team in NFL betting odds with Roethlisberger at the helm and head coach Mike Tomlin expects him to start against Oakland. “We’re not anticipating him having headaches this week,” Tomlin said.  Last week the team had to sit Roethlisberger after the quarterback developed headaches after practicing.  The Steelers had to use third string quarterback Dennis Dixon and they lost in overtime in NFL lines to the Ravens.

Roethlisberger is have a very strong season in NFL betting odds.  He was expected to play a week ago but doctors recommended holding him out and it may have cost the Steelers the win in NFL betting odds.  Big Ben has had concussions in the past and with his style of play he puts his body at risk far more than other NFL quarterbacks.  The Steelers are 8th in the league in passing yards this season and that includes last week’s game against Baltimore where Dixon did not put up big numbers.

Pittsburgh did not get good news regarding safety Troy Polamalu as he is doubtful for Sunday’s NFL betting odds game.  Pittsburgh is saying that Polamalu might be ready for next week’s NFL betting odds game against Cleveland.  The Steelers are 6-5 overall but a very poor 4-7 against the NFL lines. Even though they are just barely over .500, the schedule looks good down the stretch for the Steelers in NFL betting odds. After this week’s NFL betting odds game against the Raiders, which they should win, the Steelers are at Cleveland in another game they should win in NFL lines. They then host Green Bay and Baltimore at home in two very winnable games before ending the season at Miami in NFL betting odds. The Steelers could still run the table and finish at 11-5 this NFL betting odds season.
