Raiders Get Third Win to Knock Bills Out of Playoffs

February 13th, 2020 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

This past Sunday, in Week 16, the now 8-7 Buffalo Bills (2nd AFC East played at the now 3-12 Oakland Raiders (4th AFC West) at Oakland, California at 4:25 PM ET. The game was seen on Fox TV. Let’s recap the football betting action for this matchup.

This win by the Raiders actually knocked the Bills out of playoff contention for 2014, which is the 12 consecutive year that the Raiders have failed to make the playoffs. The Raiders QB Carr threw 2 TD passes and their well known FG Kicker Janikowski kicked 4 FGs and that accounted for the Oakland scoring in this victorious game for the Raiders.

The Raiders, after beginning the 2014 season at 0-10, in the past 3 weeks have done an excellent job at playing the playoff spoiler, as they beat the Chiefs, the 49ers and the Bills after their no-win start. Their QB Carr was not that great in the game, but he completed passes against the stubborn defense of the Bills, who in previous games had stopped the Packers QB Rodgers and the Broncos QB Manning.

What was amazing with this game, was that the Bills in all cases should have won this game against the low Oakland team, that put the spoils to what otherwise had been a successful season for the Buffalo Bills. After beating the Green Bay Packers last week with their stout defense, but they could not get their offense clicking as they only managed 13 yards rushing in the game, and having 2 turnovers, as they let the playoffs slip away!

The Raiders who have not had a winning season since back in 2002, has had some of their young players breaking out in these last 3 games, but still it appears that the Raiders will be looking to make some leadership changes prior to the 2015 season. Their strong finish this season is good news for Oakland’s owner Mark Davis as seeks a new coach for the 2015.

In the 4th quarter FG kicker Janikowski, missed a FG, then as the Raiders got the ball back with 1:09 left in the game Miami QB Orton passed to receiver Woods who took it for 30 yards and a TD, and on the kickoff, Miami fumbled and Raider Woodson recovered to end the game.
