Philadelphia at New York Giants NFL Betting

NFL betting on Sunday night on NBC features an NFC East battle between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. With a win, the Giants would get even with the Eagles in the division. It may not be easy in pro football betting since Philadelphia has beaten New York three straight times.

NFL betting saw the Eagles win 40-17 at home early last month against the Giants. Last season the Eagles won twice at New York including 23-11 in the playoffs. New York is still a one-point NFL betting favorite though against the Eagles wit ha total of 44.5. “I’m not going to talk about the three games,” Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. “I think we are well aware of the first game here this year. We gave up a lot of big plays; didn’t stop the run. And, again, I think that is where it starts for us.”

In the earlier NFL betting win this season over the Giants, Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb threw three TD passes in the first half as the Eagles rolled. The Eagles won in Atlanta last week in pro football betting and they did so without wide receiver DeSean Jackson. He is expected to be back this week for the Eagles and his presence is huge since he is Philadelphia’s big play threat. He leads the Eagles with 769 receiving yards this season.

The Giants got a huge NFL betting win last week as they defeated Dallas 31-24. “I think we are back to our old selves and we got a tough Philadelphia team that is coming in here on Sunday,” running back Brandon Jacobs said. “We are going to come out and try to do the same thing and try to have the same emotion.”

Philadelphia is 4-1 in pro football betting in their last 5 games in December. The Eagles are 16-7 vs. NFL betting odds in their last 23 road games. The Eagles are 38-18-2 vs. the pro football betting lines in their last 58 games as an underdog and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings at New York.

The Giants are 1-4 in NFL betting in their last 5 vs. the NFC. The Giants are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a home NFL betting favorite. Nine of the last thirteen Philadelphia games have gone over in NFL betting. Their last four in the NFL betting division have gone over. 13 of the last 16 in this series at New York have gone under the NFL betting total.
