To begin with there are truly not enough superlatives for the New England Patriots.  Certainly, their betting on NFL record and reputation speaks for itself.  Although it is true that New England is the NFL standard of excellence all is not well.  Increasingly there appears to be a rift between the Patriots Hall of Fame troika.  Of great concern are reports of internal strife.  Balanced against that are the Houston Texans.  Counter to New England the injury ravaged Texans were decimated last season.  For this reason, they begin 2018 with a mission of redemption.  Which means making the playoffs.

New England Patriots

Indeed, word out of New England is that quarterback, coach, and owner are butting heads.  Starting with Quarterback Tom Brady’s fatigue of head coach Bill Belichick.  Belichick and owner Bob Kraft are also reported to be irritated with each other.  Not withstanding all this New England made the Super Bowl again last year.  But Brady and many others blame Belichick for the Betting on NFL Super Sunday defeat.  Specifically, Brady and others say that Belichick was stubborn about lineup changes.  So too did they believe he was pig headed to a fault.  Increasingly Belichick is catching heat and criticism.

AFC East

Yet before everyone says the Evil Empire is no more consider who is capable of toppling New England.  Certainly, nobody in the weak AFC East.  For this reason, sharps are not fading the Patriots at all.  To be exact nobody has emerged in the AFC as a viable alternative.  In spite of the infighting this is a team that comes together when toe meets leather.  Along the same lines gamblers love New England’s reliability.  Starting with 20 payouts in the Patriots last 27 games.

Houston Texans

In turn of last year’s 4-12 season Houston is not getting much online wagering respect.  At the same time, they made the playoffs in 2015 and 2016.  Along the same lines Bill O’Brien is a respected coach.  Most important of all is quarterback Deshaun Watson’s ability.  Concurrently he had an impressive rookie debut last season.  Watson posted a 103-passer rating with a 19/7 touchdown to interception ratio.  To this end Watson is the key to Houston’s season.

Team vs. Team

New England has ruled the cashier’s cage in their series against Houston.  To show the Patriots have covered seven of their last nine games against the Texans.  Eight of the last ten between these teams went over the total.  Supplementing the Patriots cause is Gillete Stadium.  As an example, the Texans have come away with the cash in just one of their last six visits.  Five of those six games went over the total.

Matchup to Watch

While there is negative noise in New England the results show something different.  In particular is the Patriots betting on NFL reliability.  Not withstanding the reports of dissention Brady is the ultimate field general.  The end result are Super Bowls and profits.  Concurrently New England owns this head to head series.
