The Denver Broncos will be looking for a lot better performance out of quarterback Kyle Orton as they take on the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday in a game that can be seen on the NFL Network. Orton was awful a week ago against San Francisco, throwing three interceptions and people are already questioning whether he should be the starter. Seattle is a 3 point online NFL betting favorite with a total of 36.5.
The Broncos got excellent play last week out of backup quarterback Chris Simms who threw for 142 yards and two touchdowns so the pressure is really on Orton to produce this week. Denver head coach Josh McDaniels hasn’t done anything right so far and he doesn’t need a quarterback controversy on top of everything else. He said that both quarterbacks still need to improve. “He (Orton) made a lot of-he didn’t have a tough game. He made a couple bad decisions. He got better every day, had a heck of a practice yesterday and continues to get better every day. That is the way Kyle is, and Chris has done the same thing. Neither one of them is where I want them to be, ultimately. That is a process that doesn’t happen in two weeks. It is going to happen over time. They are no different than any other player on our team. They have got to get better just like (the other players) do.” McDaniels said.
The Broncos still are dealing with star wide receiver Brandon Marshall who is very unhappy and has been with the scout team in practice. McDaniels had not decided whether or not Marshall would play on Saturday. Rookie running back Knowshon Moreno will not play in this online NFL betting matchup.
The Seahawks are playing their first NFL football betting game at home under new head coach Jim Mora Jr. Seattle looked good last week in their 20-14 win over San Diego. The starters didn’t play long a week ago but quarterback Matt Hasselbeck looked good in limited time. The starters will see more minutes in this online NFL betting game. The Seahawks will be without left tackle Walter Jones and cornerback Marcus Trufant.
Denver has owned this series against Seattle in the preseason winning all six previous meetings. The teams last met in the online NFL betting preseason in 2004 and the Broncos won at Seattle by a score of 19-3.
