Oakland Raiders at Denver NFL Betting

NFL betting is popular on the Denver Broncos this week as they host the Oakland Raiders. The Broncos are in a good spot to gain one of the two Wild Card spots in the AFC, especially if they take care of the Oakland Raiders as expected in pro football betting. NFL betting has the Broncos as a two touchdown favorite against Oakland. The Raiders will be starting third-string quarterback Charlie Frye in this game so the prospects for an NFL betting win don’t look promising.

The Broncos lead the Wild Card pro football betting race by a game over Miami, New York, Baltimore and Jacksonville so they can’t afford to slip up. “We all understand where we’re at,” head coach Josh McDaniels said. “At the beginning of the season, we wanted to put ourselves into a position at this point to be able to play in the postseason. We’ve done that. Now, our urgency has to go up along with the rest of the leagues. We can’t take any days off (or) any plays off.” Last week the Broncos got a record setting NFL betting performance from WR Brandon Marshall but the unbeaten Colts were still too much for them.

The Broncos may not be challenged much this NFL betting week since the Raiders are down to Charlie Frye at quarterback. Bruce Gradkowski had given the Raiders NFL betting hope but he was injured last week and former starter JaMarcus Russell was terrible again. “As the coach I want to do what I think is best for this team, and that’s Charlie Frye,” coach Tom Cable said. “It gives us the best opportunity to win. You watch Charlie every day and his preparation, he just certainly deserves the opportunity.”

Denver has won 11 of the last 14 home games against Oakland but last season the Raiders did win in Colorado by a score of 31-10 in NFL betting. The Raiders are 4-1 in NFL betting in their last 5 meetings at Denver.

The Raiders have been terrible in NFL betting in the month of December recently as they are 17-38 ATS in their last 55 games in the month. Denver has not been very good at home in pro football betting as they are 8-19-1 vs. the NFL betting odds in their last 28 home games. The Broncos are 6-15-1 in their last 22 vs. the AFC West.

Six of the last eight Oakland games in December have gone over.
11 of the last 12 Denver home games have gone under in NFL betting.
Six of the last eight in this pro football betting series have gone under the total.
