Carolina Panthers Team Overview
Last time we caught up with Baker Mayfield in a regular season game, he struggled with the Browns. In the 2020 playoff campaign, Mayfield compiled a 95.9 QB rating and a 26/8 TD/INT ratio. However, in 2021 Mayfield slid back to an 86.2 QB rating and a 22/14 TD/INT ratio. Mayfield is bitter about how it ended with the Browns. Certainly, he bears part of the blame. But Cleveland handled everything in a very Cleveland sort of way.
Head coach Matt Rhule and Baker Mayfield have something to prove in 2022. Rhule arrived as the next big thing in 2020. So far, he has not made gains with the Panthers.
