NFL Wagering Online – Tampa Bay at Cincinnati

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a better record than the Cincinnati Bengals but the Bengals are nearly a touchdown favorite by odds makers who set the NFL wagering online numbers.

Tampa Bay is still not highly respected by gamblers but the Bengals are not a team that is getting a lot of love either from those making an NFL bet.

The Bengals are 6.5 point favorites at Sbg with the total on the game listed at 38. The Bengals lost last week against the Cleveland Browns to even their record at 2-2 while the Bucs had a bye last week. Tampa comes into this contest at 2-1.

Bucs Can Win – The Bucs believe they can win this game and looking at the Bengals it is not hard to see why. Cincinnati is a grease fire waiting to happen. They have an ego driven team that is going nowhere. Terrell Owens had a huge game last week in the win over the Browns but all he cares about are his personal stats. Chad Ochocinco is the same way and the Bengals are full of egomaniacs.  The Bucs have a good young quarterback in Josh Freeman, a rookie wide receiver in Mike Williams and a defense that believes they can shut down Carson Palmer and the Bengals.

Numbers Favor Taking Tampa Bay – You can make a strong case for the Bucs in this game. They are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Bengals are 7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 games as a home favorite. The Bengals are 6-18-2 ATS in their last 26 games in October. There is simply not a lot to like about the Bengals and the Bucs look to be a team on the rise.  That means that Tampa Bay is worth a serious look plus the points this week.

The Undertaker – If you are looking to play the total then you have to look at taking the under when making an NFL wagering online bet. The last five Tampa road games have all gone under. Nine of the last ten Tampa Bay games overall have gone under. Nine of the last ten Cincinnati home games when they were favored went under the total. 20 of the last 29 Cincinnati home games have gone under.
